I am Jae-eun Jeong, the 4th president of the Future Music Education Association.
First of all, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the former President Yoon-hee Seung who has worked hard for the development of the Future Music Education Association despite the difficult situation of Covid-19 over the past two years. Also, I would like to express my gratitude to the members who gave me the opportunity to volunteer for the Association.

Since the establishment of the Future Music Education Association in 2016, this society has been constantly striving to present the direction and educational alternatives of music education in Korea to prepare for the future.

As a result, we are expanding the theoretical and practical horizons of music education through seminars, workshops, and round tables.
This is thanks to the active participation, advice, and encouragement of the former presidents Deok-Won Kwon, Eun-Sik Choi, Yoon-Hee Seung, all members, and directors who led the society. I sincerely thank you, and I will do my best for the development of the future music education society.

In order to fulfill its role, as a representative society of music education in the future,

First, we will conduct research on various topics that are becoming issues in music education, and share the results through seminars, “Future Music Education Research,” a registered magazine, and publication of various major books.

Second, as a central role in connecting music education research with the field, we will try to narrow the gap between theory and practice through workshops and training.

Third, we will prepare a venue for continuous academic exchange with next-generation scholars through the “Round Table” and academic exchange where both domestic and foreign music educators can participate and discuss the direction of music education together.

As always, I would like to ask for your continued interest and help in the society.
